Freinds,

Saw an old lady today

Hers sons put a new shower in her bungalow.

now there is no hot water to the kitchen. Both bathrooms have hot water.

They did no cut or reroute pipes.

Any ideas? Air lock?

If so, what's the best way to help her?

Thanks

Rocket

If it's a tank fed open sustem then an airlock sounds the most likely culprit rocketmanbkk 🙂 It depends on how the sink is piped to be honest. IMO

Ok, it's a combo boiler. They said they never touched the pipes, how best to sort an air lock?

Does the water run but only runs cold? How good is the water flow? Had any problems prior? Did they turn the stopcock back on fully? Just a few thought rocketmanbkk 🙂

Ok, thx all.

Just feel sorry for the old girl.

Both sons don't wanna know!

Left her in the bollux!!

So, I'll ask her again, if it's not combo, how to fix?

If it not a combi try blasting cold mains water up the hot feed if they have a hot and cold washing machine feed or dish washer feed this can make it nice and easy.

If not you could try blowing down the open vent over the cwsc?

No hit water lol

I'd make sure they haven't altered the pipework and then crack open tap connector or comp fitting under sink to make sure there's water there. Sons sound like numptys.
