No hit water in bungalow kitchen

Freinds,

Saw an old lady today

Hers sons put a new shower in her bungalow.

now there is no hot water to the kitchen. Both bathrooms have hot water.

They did no cut or reroute pipes.

Any ideas? Air lock?

If so, what's the best way to help her?

If it's a tank fed open sustem then an airlock sounds the most likely culprit rocketmanbkk 🙂 It depends on how the sink is piped to be honest. IMO

if its a combi I doubt it would be an airlock, u sure they didnt cut into any pipework?

There's no such thing as an airlock on a combi hot water feed.

Get the donut son to sort it out.

If it not a combi try blasting cold mains water up the hot feed if they have a hot and cold washing machine feed or dish washer feed this can make it nice and easy.

If not you could try blowing down the open vent over the cwsc?

is the hot tap opening fully like the cold tap

eg.. does it turn maybe 2-3 full turns ?

Turned on cold and put my finger over outlet for about a minute which seemed like 10!
