Hi all,
I have very little hot water pressure from my Tribune Premier unvented hot water cylinder, i have checked the Pressure regulater/strainer and they fine. Its 15 years old and was fitted by the house builder.

Any ideas

Cheers
Simon.

If the pressure reducing valve & strainer are ok then it sounds like cylinder is scaled up.
Over time scale collects in the bottom of the cylinder and blocks the cw inlet.
Usually when you open a hot tap you get an initial burst of water that reduces quite quickly to just a dribble sometimes.
Quite common round here (north hants) & mainly on direct unvented cylinders.

Well had B.Gas out to fit the boiler again (not lighting), i said to the bloke can you have a look at the hot water as ive got no pressure, he said its your strainer its blocked, i said i checked it and its fine and ive got good cold pressure on the 1st floor, i then said is it my cylinder scaled up? 'No cant be its stainless steel' i said its not its steel ive got all the paperwork for it 'well ive got no idea' and he left!

What a waste of time he was!

Does anyone know any good companys all the Reading area?
