Hi, I have an Alpha cd25c boiler and has been playing up for the last couple of weeks. We have luke warm water in the bathroom (bath and sink) yet piping hot water in the kitchen. The boiler is situated upstairs. Anyone have any ideas to try and see what the problem is.

Thanks

Rob

yes, this seems to be as hot, tried both the bath and the sink at half and both hot. Does this mean that we have the wrong taps for the bar pressure of the boiler ?

You may not have a problem. It could be that the delivery of water to your home is colder
than normal. Because we have had a hard winter, the water is coming in at a lower temperature .
This can make your boiler struggle.

Thanks for your help Tipintim, Will keep an eye on it over the next couple of weeks if the weather holds off. Would putting smaller taps on help.

Some taps open full bore, which the boiler at this time of year cant deal with. i.e lever taps
I would try and slow things down and go from there.

If it does continue to give a problem, then i would look at boiler. Yet, if you can get hot water from kitchen tap,
you should get hot water from any tap.

Let us know how you get on

Firstly, do all of the hw taps fire the boiler or is it just one of taps, but knowing Alphas like I do - it will be either the DHW flow switch or dhw heat exchanger.
Probably hw works ok everywhere when the ch is on?
