No hot water to bath taps. Everywhere else is fine.

Hi everyone. We have installed a new shower kit (over the bath). Not touched the bath mixer taps (thermostatic mixer) other than to replace the old hose with a new hose. Ever since, we have not had hot water in the bath taps. Not even warm, just freezing cold. Is this going to be an expensive fix?

I had a similar experience. Turned out the mixer on the monobloc tap in the kitchen, (which had a mixer as well as a spray and tap valve) was opened and as a result, the higher cold water pressure was pushing back through the hot pipe. Closing the kitchen mixer fixed that for me.
