Hi,
I recently replaced a Sunvic 3port Mid pos valve with a Honeywell 3 port Mid pos, the Sunvic had only been in less than 12months when it developed a fault, when HW was called for it didn't respond at all, only the side CH worked. Having replaced the valve the problem is still there, I have wired the valve up as per the previous one, is there something I could check to see if have installed it properly? or could the problem be somewhere else?

Thanks

Check at the cylinder stat that there is a HW output from the programmer and that the cyl stat is sending 240 to the boiler, what happens when you put the hot water and central heating on together ?

The central heating heats only, no hot water, when the system is switched off i can hear the valve go back to mid pos, is this any help?

Could be the cylinder stat stuck in the off position. Check metallic strip. Especially if it the blue metal sunvic one with the knob on top....
