OLCI find you employment???

Hi guys

Thinking about doing the 6129 and 6089 and part P for £6076 at OLCI just spoke to them they said they can send a salesperson to speak to me, i know he gonna give me all the spin about how much you can earn and the need for plumbers crap, but the thing that the guy told me was that OLCI find you employment after compleating the course???. Does anyone know if this is definent.

Also the duration of the course is 8 weeks, now im a complete novice and that seems very short to be a quilified plumber, i know its only the first step but still seems very short.

Any feedback from this would be very appricated

8 weeks is to short to become a plumber ,you will find it hard to get a job with a company as most ask for at least 4 years post training experience.as for getting you a job ask to speak to those they have trained and have got jobs for.at the moment there are to many plumbers chasing to little work.dont part with your money until they can prove all their claims.

I’ve done that 8 week course with them, it takes you through all the basics you need. Once you’ve done the 8 weeks you get the 6129 L2, then you do the 6089 NVQ on site afterwards – that’s when it all starts to come together.

They haven’t told me they would find me a job but they did say they have someone there who gives advice and tries to help you find a job – I got a few tips on doing my CV from her and a few other guys who were on the course with me got help with jobs for their NVQ. I think they’ll probably help you out with finding work but you need to put some effort in yourself.

Overall no regrets, glad I went for it. Centre was good, enjoyed the training and made a few mates along the way. Thinking about doing my Level 3 with them as well.

Thanks mate makes me feel a bit better, think im just gonna go for it aint got nothing to lose only 6k lol.
What OLCI did you go to, my nearest one is essex.
