Hello all I hope you all had a good Christmas. What is the normal measurement from the bottom of a toilet to the center of the waste hole as I need to install the soil waste before the toilet is purchased. Is there a standard measurement for all toilets or does it differ? Thank you all.

Some pans vary between 160mm to 185mm but an offset multiquick will usually get you over this. (180 is the norm).

Lol might work for u guys, ive always kept at 7.5", done 8" before on 1 job and that worked fine lol

These are my 1st fix measurements if i dont have the sanitryware.

Bath:
1500mm/1700mm long, 700mm wide. 700/2=350mm then 150/180mm apart for H&C (new boss likes me to bring hot and cold just behind bath panel now)
Basin:
560mm wide, 5" away from wall into ped, kept at 2" apart
Toilet cistern:
460mm (left or right feed - 40mm in) 3" off wall
Shower pipes: 1200mm from floor level, 150mm apart

These are just the measurements ive kept with over the years

ive fitted pans between 5 and 9 inches from memory but i normally expect it to be 7 approx so i normally aim for this if no sanitary is available but try to leave some movement.

I'd always go a touch lower, at least that way you can use an offset or at worst, a very short flexi with soil cut right back to wall.

i find it a lot easier to bring tails up for a bath just inside the panel by about 60 mm and about 150 from the endabout 50 mm apart. Next to each other when looking at themThen when you fit the bath pull a bend on the far tap con before laying the bath down which can then spin slightly to meet the upstandding tail. If your fitting valves they are then easier to access here than under the bath

i would put the soil at 7 1/2" as well. also don't forget about any floor coverings which will raise the level of the toilet pan.

We've been in, she's had the meds and now we're back home playing the old waiting game. The past 2 weeks have been crap tbh lol. Sick of waiting now.

What about basin waste height from floor for pedestal basin with and without floor tiles and a P-trap?

if you fitting a basin without a full ped then you need the sanitary measurements really, if its a full ped i normally come out the floor inside the ped and use a pedestal trap or hepvo valve. If your waste is coming out the wall then use a adjustable trap.

its always going to be better with the sanitary measurements to go to.
