Hi All,
My toilet Syphon stopped flushing I had a look today and it's a Derwent macdee metro. One that you can remove without taking toilet to pieces. The plastic has torn. Tried taping it together for quick fix but not made any difference. Is it a case of just replacing the plastic out do I need a new Syphon part and if so can another make fit onto it or does it need to be same make. Thanks

If the various bits you show in the pic unscrew/come apart, you can replace just the plastic, eg: eBay item 265640707064
Or make one from similar thickness/pliability plastic sheet (but might not last as long!)
You need the same brand/model parts unless you change the whole assembly.

Thanks I was hoping the parts were inter changeable with other makes. Replacement plastic is available so I'll try that first
