just got an email from my bro' who is currently in paris with his missus for her birthday & to say how cold it is.
they went out for a meal last night @ £90 (fair enough) this evening they had a burger and glass of wine £60 :whatchutalkingabout!!lol
to cap it of they booked a 3 day open bus tour-cancelled, went to notre dam-closed, louvre-closed and pretty much everything else closed or cancelled:whatchutalkingabout

Pound to euro is terrible. About 1 - 1.1
when I went there about 10 years ago it was £1 - 1.5 euro.

youngest daughter was in Paris last year, she was shoved in a fountain as a distraction as the romanians tried pickpocketing her boyfriend. Being as she's very quiet! they didnt get away with it and one of the blighters ended up with a bloody nose in the fountain with her, chip off the old block, so proud. Just wondering when she is going to move out?
