Hi.. I am having my kitchen remodelled and the plumber has replaced the copper piping with PE-X piping to feed the kitchen sink water supply..

My question is..... He has laid the hot and cold pipes next to each other in the floor and concreted straight on top and tiled above, is this the correct way to do it? He says it is fine but I cant help think that the pipes should have been protected somehow.... Does this install meet building regs?

Any info would be appreciated....

No it doesnt.
Should be put in a conduit pipe so its protected and can be removed if needed.

So the problem I have now is.. Do I need to get him to take up the tiles and redo with coduit?

two options

lift up if you have enough tiles spare

or leave it, will be fine but if you need to replace it in the future you will need to lift the tiles
