Indeed my fear of heights was enhanced during my years working in Cyprus.
The compensations were of course manifold.

Rats after finding a nest of the bstrds under an 18" deep floor. Its the eyes in the darkness that does my head in!

Used to like the odd cow now and again, especially the dirty ones :smile:

Heights. Proper acrophobia, seeing other people working at height scares the crap out of me almost as much as being at height myself. I've managed to work at it over the years. When I was a kid I wouldn't go up a step ladder but I can now get to two storeys on a ladder. I have to be careful because I can freeze if I go to far.

no idea!.

it was in the Caribbean or florida on a board walk in a swamp (long while ago), felt something on the back of my leg when resting on a handrail. i thought it was a mossy so wiped it of with my other foot when it gnashed me.

the snake bite was in the canadian rockies when i was 18
