Hi I have a Glow worm MKII boiler, when the heating is turned on it stays on for approx 25 minutes the pilot then cuts out. But soon as I re-light the pilot its back on again. So far the thermacouple has been replaced, the heating valve, and the pump?

:welcome: to the forum yorled ....... If I may ask, who replaced all these parts. The t'cupl's about the only one I'd associate with pilot outage assuming you mean a zone/diverter valve when you mention "heating valve". You need someone GSR to take a look. Anything associated with gas and safety aspects such as pilot outage on boilers are for Gas Safe Folk only IMHO ... May turn out to be something simple but there's little I can offer you in advice TBH except maybe post your whereabouts here [DLMURL="http://www.ukplumbersforums.co.uk/im-looking-plumber-gas-engineer/"]I'm looking for a Plumber or Gas engineer.[/DLMURL]

High limit stat is favourite if not been changed. Its what the stat is connected to thats needs a competent gas safe engineer on, imho

Agree ,think they just keep replaceing parts and hope to get lucky ! do we know what valve he replaced ??

Hi all

Just to stay it has been a gas safe engineer looking at this issue?
Now sorted it seems radiators were getting very hot and then everything would cut out including the pilot, he ended up replacing the thermastat part no. 416189 for Glow worm mkII (B60) tested and all now working great. Thanks for the responses.

Thanks for the feed back.
So it was cutting out on the overheat stat as suggested.

Just goes to show how much easier it is to diagnose a fault on site than on t'internet.

Well actually we did'nt really know what the fault was? So the mention of the over heat stat allowed us to look in the right direction and subsequently solve the problem, would not have been able to do that without the tinternet!! Tend to find someone somewhere has already had the problem.

Yeah, but you didn't mention until post eight that the rads were getting very hot.
Had you said that in post one then your problem would have been solved in post two.

To the OP. Suggest you get another engineer that is competent. These boilers are one the most basic boilers to fault find on.
