Please dont be alarmed.i'm an electrician and my son is a heating engineer and has since moved abroad.
I have been working on a garage to kitchen coversion installing new circuits. The client has recentley had the central heating boiler movedfrom original position in the centre of the garage/kitchen to the corner, a distance of about 3 metres. I remember my son mentioning that plactic pipe should not be used directly to the central heating bolier or no point within one meter of he boiler!
Is this fact accurate and does this also apply to plastic fittings, as this boiler in question has copper to the actual boiler but plastic elbows have been used within one metre?
Comments welcome

Chris
