This has given up the ghost after falling out committing suicide in the toaster below the programmer! The programmer still works fine. The unit itself is a Miniminder es. Now obsolete. However, the slider looks the same as that found on more recent Potterton programmers. Potterton only sell the complete unit.

Does anyone have a unit they have removed which might have the part I need? Loath to spend £50 or more for tuppence worth of part!

Your only hope is looking for a second hand one on eBay. If I ever rip out an old programmer it goes in the bin, not worth the hassle of trying to repair or fit a second hand one for a customer as you only get grief if it goes wrong. I used to keep all sorts of odd bits and pieces but they just take up my space and as 8 said are likely to cause me grief if I fit them.

:welcome: to the forum embraamateur 🙂 The mounting back plate for the miniminder is compatible with a lot of new programmers and easy to swap. Why not treat yourself and go all fancy and digital 🙂

because it will not last a quarter of the time the miniminder did, there probably a date on the back ive seen them over 20 years old still working fine

Exactly. I may go the ebay route. One was on auction this morning but seems to have disappeared. In the meantime, if anyone has one in a bin or removes one, I'm yer man!:hurray: Many thanks for the suggestions though.

Well Ebay came up trumps and I now have a new (to me!) unit.

Next question: how do I get the back / front off without breaking anything?
