used plumbfix this weekend as everywhere was else was closed, impressed is an understatement! ordered on line at home, reserved in store, got to see the item , price, and if they had them in stock at my local branch , on my way out the house saying that items were being reserved for me and gave me a order ref, 7 minuets later I get a txt saying that stuff was ready for me to pick up , arrive there , employee carries the box of materials to my van , I put everything on shelves where they are suppose to be and he ticks everything off, and gives me a receipt, I was there around 5-10 mins tops, I would be walking around my local plumbs or travis collecting the items and looking if they had them in store ect!! then they give me the wrong stuff ect!! and amazing value!! trv & lockshield set for under £6!! siphons for £4ish!! stocked the van up a bit whilst I was there! they sell baxi boilers there and seem reasonably priced! I've already priced a heating job with them, if I get it im fitting a baxi for a change! fed up of worcesters now!!

Same cant be said of trade direct (b and q ) that cards a waste of time. Never any discount over the joe bloggs counter

I use plumbfix often. I find them quite decent. Not sure on the new computer system though, I i think I prefer the old catalogue system

i find im using them more and more as youve said its easy no haggling on price and you can see the picture before you buy so know its the part you want still to exspensive for most fittings though

The added bonus at mine is two lovelies working on the trade counter. Makes it all a bit more fun

I use them a lot, the main difference between these and some major merchants is it doesn't take the staff 10 minutes to get off their backsides and come and serve you

Just had 9 rad, TRVs, lockshields etc; off them today, spot on. I happen to like their Kudox premium rads.

Also I had some safety trainers of them a few weeks back.. more comfortable than my actual trainers LOL

plumbfix is ok for common items, bit pricier than my local indie, but open all hours. Issues are that they dont hold enough stock so whenever I pop in, half of what I want isnt available, so stopped using them so much nowadays

I find myself using them a bit lately, mainly for tools and fixings though
Had a leaflet through the door today, 6x12 k2 for less than £60 (inc vat) a lot cheaper than my local indie

lame it says on their website if they have it in stock or not, even tells you how many are they have in stock , if its not in , then they will get it in for next day , even deliver to you next day , so unless its 5 minuets round the corner then there is no excuse with not checking it on the phone or tablet with technology how it s these days, before you start off site!! no merchant around here will be able to do that, and as you know with plumbers , is the cheapest always the best?? I don't mind paying a few quid extra if it saves me the hassle of queuing in somewhere like plumb centre! thumbs up from me anyway! if I was running a big company like bg or something and buying thousands of pounds worth of materials daily then I probably wouldn't use them , but for a sole trader I think its ok!
