Plume kit to move from a window?

View the thread, titled "Plume kit to move from a window?" which is posted in UK Plumbers Forums on UK Plumbers Forums.

Gasman would perhaps be the man to answer this. He fits them.

You could always ask Baxi themselves.

applies to baxi and potterton aswell. air inlet can be 150mm from opening using plume kit

can be used exactly the same, can fit 150mm from a corner but must end up terminating 300mm from the corner

can agree with this went on a course at worcester and this was the first question i asked, and they confirmed the above, it is allowed to be reduced by 150mm aslong as the plume kit is over 300away, my other question was about allowing the white section of the flue to be exsposed to allow the flue to exstend past the eaves of a roof, as we had a inspector say its not allowed, but this is also allowed as long as joints of flue are sealed with a sealant and also states you can paint the flue to protect it, its now in the mi for worcesters and baxi's havnt checked many other boilers but alot of things people think are not allowed are allowed,, worcester told me they do seperate investigations into things and then bring out update notes etc if they prove something to be safe, but these often only apply to there boilers!

oh for the good old days when we had one set of rules for every boiler now they seem to make it up as they go along how are we supposed to know whats right

agreed mate, its easier to just stick to one boiler manufacturer then you know what is permitted for that boiler
