Bit of a stab in the dark as customer hasn't given me make and model or a chance to see it yet but says there is poor hot water pressure at taps. Cold main is fine so rules out any blockage in the mains. As most of you will know I have very limited experience in breakdowns so was just looking for pointers as to what I could be. Cheers. As I say Stab in the dark as I don't have make and model of boiler. Any help appreciated.

Could be anything mate, I presume you are talking about a combi though. If so check heat exchanger or some boilers have filters could be blocked? Ask if they have instructions too.
Oh and check the cold main valve into the boiler as well 🙂

Sorry yeah it is a combi. I'm going to look at it during the week but hope to have make and model before then for a but of studying on it. Cheers

you need to ask if it has slowly got worse or has it all ways been poor?

Gives you an idea where to start looking. ie. if he says it has slowly got worse over time then probably looking a blockage in the secondary heat exchange possibly a filter or scale build up.
Also is it low pressure or poor flow? a small combi running at full chat may reach 11 lpm at best combine that with 3/4 pipe work and traditional style taps the flow from them appears quite slow but still at pressure!

bit of a ramble sorry!!
