Hi

A plumber came out to install 2 TRV's on 2 existing radiators. TRV's were installed fine but now the heating doesn't work. It's an old system with the tank in the loft and cylinder the floor below and boiler ground level. I'm still getting hot water from the cylinder but no heating. The central heating pipe that leaves the centre of the cylinder is hot for about 3 inches then no heat elsewhere. It leaves the cylinder horizontal then bends vertical into a tee. This tee then carrys on to an air vent and the centre turns horizontal into pipe up a motorized valve and then a pump.

Could it be the air vent that's not functioning properly as its hot up until this point???

Thanks for the replies.

Yeah stat is turned up. He's working away now so not possible to get him back.
Just wondered if anyone would have any ideas as to why the pipe is hot up until this point. Also the pump is heating up also???

Not sure whether I can manually open? It's one of these

Well that was confusing. I have one of those. And I thought I was asking these questions for a split second then!!!! Thought I was losing it.
Thank god it's not me!
