I've just had a call from a customer of mine to say that his boiler (Worcester Bosch Greenstar 30CDi system on LPG) is not behaving as it should.
He's not at home but controls the heating via Hive, and it's telling him that the boiler is running 24/7 with a temperature of 21°C, although he has it on a timed schedule with a set temperature of 12°C.
He has called Hive and they have told him the it has to be a boiler fault as the Hive is working as it should (from their POV).
I am going around on Tuesday to take a look but I'd like to know if anyone else has come across this sort of thing, and maybe has a solution.

Cheers m'dears 🙂

Maybe a stuck heating valve keeping the boiler on.
I suspect it would be easy to check, turn off heat and hot water on Hive, make sure green lights on the receiver go out, and then remove the head from the valve and check spindles.

If no joy check the wiring from valve. Should be 0v on white (3 port) or 0v on brown (2port) and nothing on the orange.
