Pressure test on an existing system

Hi I will be replacing a leaking elbow on an existing dhw system soon, just wanted to find out if pressure testing is mandatory after repairs , and will all the taps need to be isolated . There are isolation valves from calorific flow return but can't see any in taps . I have only dealt with new installs to date so not to sure requirements of pressure testing existing system . Thanks for any input

if it just making a repair and the original system has held up fine before you begin, i would just fill up and check the fitting knowing the quickest way to drain down again before you begin to fill.
