jamscunny

good afternoon. been to have a look at a pro therm 80e. iv never come across one before. when a demand is set either heating or hot water the pump starts but the sequence finishes there. the fan which is fed through an overheat stat gets a low voltage 20v. this low voltage doesnt power the fan. i powered the fan direct from the mains to see if it was faulty and the fan works. the fan is actually only 6 weeks old. another guy changed that aswell as the diverter switch?? there is also a digital display on the bottom right. this reads 78 constantly. any help would be appreciated. cheers

I guess no one has had the joy of these boilers. aparantly there a czech company. probably on par with ferroli. joy 🙂

Who's the manufacturer jamscunny? Or have you sorted it out?

Do you know if the pump flow is monitored? Could be that the flow switch is faulty? Can't be of much more help without the mi's to be honest 🙂

Is it an 80E or and 80e? They're different.

Let it never be said the iPad wasn't useful. Both sets of MI's are on gas installers workmate.

Hello. Yeah it's the 80e. I spoke to a friend today. He said the thermister must be the problem. On the digital display it shows 78, but the boiler is cold. So the pump is running to get rid of the heat that isn't there. Iv ordered a thermister. In theory it makes sence. 🙂
