Hi
I have a pullin 3kw hot water tank,i also have storage heaters in the flat, the hot water tank is not heating the water as it normally does,if i put the hot water boost button on it then heats it up no problem.any ideas what could be the fault here, also the tank is in a cupboard at the top of the stairs and when the water is running it is very slow with no pressure at all even downstairs.

how much will this cost to repair,is it an easy diy job and how would i source the part.thanks for the reply.would it defo be the bottom immersion as i see it has 2 one top 1 bottom.

Yes it is likely to be the bottom cos the top one is the boost as it only heats the top part and not the whole thing

Yes bottom heater needs replaceing, (replace with 14" heater) this is running off, (off peak electric) just got one of these £17.00. But you will need a immersion spanner / hammer and some small tools (screwdriver) DONT FORGET TO DRAIN CYLINDER FIRST If you dont want to do the job your self and save a little money then drain out cylinder B4 plumber gets their.

so the plumber can refill it so the tank doesnt crumple when he has to use a hammer to get the immersion out either do it your self or leave it alone
