when your 5 month old jrt catches a rat,snaps its neck and drops it on the floor,happened earlier dog was off the lead,rat,big fooker anorl,ran across our path pup was like a rocket,grabbed it ,killed it ,left it on the floor,i have the pup and a parsons whos 10 but obviously slower than the pup my daughter freaked out explained there vermin and need sorting,she is comparing it to her friends pet rat ,shes still asking why told her there full of disease and the dogs doing whats bred into it not sure she fully understands this

Next job, send her under a floor armed with a propane torch and see how many pet rats/ roof rabbit corpses she ends up with. Obviously don't tell social services. :aureola:

Oh dear...looks like the dog and you for teaching it to do what comes naturally to it are now demonised forever..........thats a shame........perhaps you could take her mind off it by buying a thousand or so of them rubber band thingy knitting bands.

Our golden retriever ran in with a freshly killed/kestrel this evening, not to sure were he got that from in our garden. Will pop it off to the raptor survey bods when they send me the box to put it in, sad to see such a great bird dead, especially in summer when they should be doing ok, I expect a cat got it before the dog.
