Questionaire to help design new tool , 1 minute long

Done it bud. Why are you designing a basin wrench? I find that the bog standard box spanners are very good , however sometimes they dont fit on the brass ones, why not make an adjustable box spanner ?

think your barking up the wrong tree, my bear huggers work brilliantly and I already own a torch and mirror and normally can see what to do or do it all by feel.

I've done your survey, but to be honest can't/won't see past a monument basin wrench, I have been a plumber for 32 years, and am on my 3rd (1 was stolen with all my tools, and 1 was stolen on a site) the current 1 I have had for about 10years, dont need a mirror or torch they are gimmicks that will get in the way of me fitting taps, good luck, and let us know how you get on

Thanks for all the replys , yes

I agree with alot of what has been said. I do sort of regret choosing it for my final project , especialy as i have no background in plumbing.

although my current concept (if it works) will be able to function as a box spanner.

The main point of this survey is to prove that alot of plumbers are not willing to buy into gimics such as ergonomic handles , or lights if it increases cost and are more interested in the basic function of the tool.

Please pass on this survey on to friends in the industry you have on facebook or other networking sites.

thank you all for your feedback and time

The only thing I can add to the comments, is if it can be used as a box spanner, could it be a ratchet type, it would save having to reposition the jaws once you have a grip, on the back nut

my current concept depends on the success of two rachet mechanisms that i am testing. So if successful it will work like a common rachet spanner
