Hi,

I've purchased this low pressure mixer valve. Gravity system both hot and cold so should be roughly same pressure (allowing for different losses in pipework). Do i need a check valve (or even double check valve?!) on both the hot and cold inlets or are they not needed for this setup?

Also, do i need check valves on this mixer tap?

ok thanks for the info, thought that would be the logical case - but then these regs normally aren't are they!

If the cold water storage cistern is correctly covered and insulated it will still be potable. That's why we have to fit a bylaw kit.

From what I remember from college (a few moons back) it's fine to feed a bathroom tap from a correctly installed storage tank, it's only kitchen and dedicated drinking taps that need to be mains fed.
