Since i moved into my house ages ago there has been no hot water when switching the control to water and heating, even though the radiators get hot. Im quite good with most things, but im a little in experinced with the central heating. Its time i got it sorted out as i have a baby on the way. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Paul

You need tell us what type of system you have in your "airing cupboard" could be as simply as the cylinder stat turned down or a air lock on cylinder?

The boiler is a vulcan continental, and the time clock switch is a danfoss 3020p. The rest is up in the loft, as the previous owner moved it all up there when he extended the bathroom to where the airing cupboard was. At a guess it sounds like i need to do a bit of investigating in the loft.

Ah... I have a danfoss 3020 . Do you get hot water when you move the controls to water on twice a day? can you get water hot at all without putting the heating on?

It seems i can get hot water when the danfoss timeclock is set to water only, but not when its set to water + heating.
