rain n lightening today

huge thunder clap and lightening strike this am lead to loads of calls pm of boilers not working, went to 3 and replaced some 2 amp fuses, fourth one was still stinking 2 hours later, didnt bother checking the fuse, just advised a new boiler, got told to poke off, which I did as it was late. got home to find my wirless phone base had also bitten the dust, so back to 1 working phone tied to the wall for a bit 🙂 funny how some things pop a fuse and others completely fry, 2 of the pager aerials for the lifeboat all got blown away completely this morning, 10 foot poles reduced to a little stub!!!

i was in wales last week with my campervan club and a guy there was three vans away from one that got struck by lightening in france a few weeks ago. A total of seven vans were fried electrically, his bill was close to three grand,ecus and electric boards on every appliance except the heater which is in a metal box under the van were fried
