Guys,
Need a indicator as to charging.
I've been asked to connect and commission a Dru fire in a leisure centre after 11pm, fires in place and flue/fan assembly are all connected, I've just to do the gas connection and commission. What would you charge per hour?

Dont know but it was the manufacturer who recommended me as done a load of work for them and fitted tons of these fires. I was thinking the same price

I wouldn't turn my nose up at it, depending on how it was installed
£600 to take it back out, do your checks and reinstall it sounds OK to me
Obviously if it hasn't been damaged when it was first installed, if that's the case then explain you would still expect to be paid for the time on site

It's a balanced flue fire with fan on the flue as far as I'm aware. They are send me lots of photos and I'm going to have a look and take it from there

Will need to be interlocked / special unit then and where you getting the air intake from ??

also you got your commercial gas ??

Aye, got my commercial. Doesn't need an interlock its room sealed balanced flue with a special fan unit designed by Dru. It will need access to the flue in its entire route as it's got A fan.
The fan has a solenoid and pcb which piggyback onto the gas valve for the fire

Fail enough and already got the interlock

Just can't understand why the person who installed it hasn't com it and would be £100 an hour and no estimate on time as you don't know what you will find

Would love to see some of the pics ??

i would take the job on, as long as its installed correctly, passes all your checks then i would be happy to take responsibility for it, its more work in the future as you will hopefully get the servicing and possible breakdowns from it!!
