DIY job, no hot water, traced problem to broken power head. Replaced it with new, took off Honeywell, put on Corgi. (Following advice that the quality gap between the two is much reduced, and the fact that the Honeywell was only about 2 years old further denting by confidence in the dearer brand.)
All is well now, but it made me think: all the forums and my plumber buddy tell me that we’re replacing newish units by the million. Probably only one tiny fault.
Is anyone re-manufacturing these things? It seems a huge waste to chuck the (not very) old one.
