Remeha avanta 28c E4 error

Been called out to this error tonight but I cant work out what the problem is, boiler as been installed for 2 months with no issues previously. I can see the boiler sparking but there is no flame at all.

HELP!!

Do you have the facility to 'back heel' ? Still under warranty! :rofl:

Failing that check that the gas is turned on and the meter hasn't ran out ... first thoughts 🙂

Planning on calling out their engineer tomorrow as boiler is still under warranty, only 2 months old!

I'm assuming E4 is flame detection error yeh? If so, and to save face 🙂 It may be worth checking the basics if you haven't alrady done so AideyJ 🙂

Done all the tests but I've now discovered on other forums that the problem usually lies in the ignition transformer.

Interesting to know AideyJ ... I am not familiar with the boiler you mention so wouldn't know if any generic issues... Good luck in getting to the bottom of the problem 🙂 And if you get the chance, leave your findings here for future searchers 🙂

What fault code comes up?

I fit loads of these boilers and never had a problem with them, E4 code is boiler not fired up.........check gas, electrodes, and ignition transformer however if you have a spark then it can't be that, would suggest its gas related check the valve.
