Removing copper soil stack

hi.
I have a copper soil stack (def copper) that I am hoping to take out, runs through the house, pops out the roof, which is leaking anyway!

What’s the best way to connect? I plan on cutting a couple inches before the pipe goes underground, can I stick a connector in, assuming it fits like

Or is it easier to use a large flexible connector? If it’s clipped correctly, surely this is fine?

It really needs to be replaced into the ground, it shouln't be too far down.
The connector in your link will work into the copper.

I work on commercial and we have a lot of copper soil pipe.
It nearly always ends up leaking at floor level.

Best to dig it out, as snowhead mentioned it will not be very deep to the top of the sewer pipe. then sit the new pipe on top, run a bead off silicone round to seal it and then cement it in place.

Have attached a couple of photos,

So just chisel the cement mound away and I should see where the copper goes to the underground drain?

Then do I use the connector in the clay drain(buried), and cement it all back in (including inch or so of plastic pipe)
Or just pull it close, silicone and cement?

I would get the grinder out bud get it all stripped out chip out the cement work out at low level to free the lowest part of the copper into the ground when you have make sure no mortar falls in the drain a black bin liner with screwed up news paper in push in the open will protect it clean out the collar then cement in a access pipe with a 110mm collar then is time to reinstall the stack .
