The motor winding on my Manrose 100 mm Timer Chrome LP100STC 12473 has failed due to ingress of debris into the ducting jamming the fan. It was purchased about 6 years ago. I didn't particularly want a timer model, and consequently now want to fit a standard replacement, preferably one that will be a straight replacement fit (ie no drilling new fixings etc.). The current Manrose LP100SS Chrome 35139 looks like a straight swop. Anyone have experience of swopping new for old Manrose fans? Are they generally a straight swop with no hassle? All comments welcome.

Just to clarify, I intend to instal a complete new unit, not swop fan motors, or "fiddle" with the wiring, other than disconnect the complete old unit and connect the complete new unit, having switched off the appropriate circuit at the Distribution Box obviously.
