Hi there,

We have a pop-up waste in our bath, one where you twist to open and close the plug. The plug is badly rusted (please see attached pic) and it is no longer opening and closing properly.

Is it possible to replace the part in the attached picture, or do we have to buy a whole new waste and plug?

Thanks,
Peter

The problem is identifying the exact one if it's specific to the waste.

Compare the measurements of this one ,

or this, slightly different shaft length,

if you take it to the local merchants they will advise you, if it is the wrong one then its tere fault and not yours so avould a re stock fee.

Take it to local independent plumbing merchants and ask for replacement it's likely they will have a number of different ones. If its not possible to find a match then the whole waste may need replacing. If your handy it's an easy job, if not get a local plumber in.
