I went to a job where the the 3 port valve is seized, replacement for this is £200 at plumbcenter. I thought I would replace it with a Honeywell 3 port but the wire colours differ.

The Drayton TA/M4 has blue, yellow, white, black and earth.
Honeywell has Blue, orange, white, grey and earth.
Is the orange the same as the yellow and the grey for for the black

Can't find any wiring detail on the web any help would be grateful

White - clockwise rotation of valve - port 2 shut
BLUE - anti-clockwise rotation of valve - Port 3 shut
Yellow - Mid position i.e heating and hot water
Black - Neutral.

Pretty sure your right, I've done them before and from memory there's no re wiring to do. Wire it without installing the whole valve first to check.
There are some well clued up people on here, I'm sure they'll be along in a minute.

Not compatible with a Honeywell valve. It is used in conjunction with a Drayton RB1 or RB2 relay box as part of a Drayton Flowshare 5 control system.

Thank you guys looks like I will have to replace with similar one. Thank you all for you help got lots of useful info and tips.
