Replacing a large radiator with a small radiator

Hi guys, I'm new to plumbing so please go easy!

I'm replacing an old radiator which has started to corrode and leak with a new one which is slightly smaller. The problem I'm having is trying to find the right parts that allow me to extend the pipes enough to fit the original pipework. I bought a couple of telescopic radiator extensions but that wont fit onto the existing pipework which looks like this *********.com/jpgs/radiator_pipe.jpg

any ideas?

Depends on how much 'slightly smaller'. Best way is to get under the floor and redo the pipework. Bit more work but it will look the part when done.

I agree with Simon, long rad valve extensions look awkward.

the inlines look nice, do they come without a thermostat ?

easy answer to that YES.

you can just extend from the valve with a copper pipe and connect to the rad using compression nuts m&f if tou have enough room.

those telescopic ones are krap and always leak.

these type are best and come in sizes from 1/2" to 2" i believe?

The rad tails with the drain cock built in look better than the extended tails.
