Hi im new to the forum🙂(Apprentice)

Basically i was replacing the lead pipe under my sink upstairs and now i have run in to some problems.

The lead pipe was connected from the tap about 25inches down and the rest is stainless steel but my problem is, is that the pipe is bigger than 15mm but only a bit smaller than 22mm and i have brought some 22mm copper pipe and 15mm reducer etc to replace the lead but nothing will form a tight seal around the stainless steel pipe .. What do i need??? Were can i get it ?? Thanks for your time. (hope it makes sence)😀

welcome to the forums mate. You can get a talbot grippa , it's kind of like an adjustable pushfit straight connector go on thier wesbsite or get it from plumbers merchants.

Talbot Grippa
its a universal fitting that connects onto. a wide variety of existing lead, galvanised iron and copper pipe with just one set of internal components. The range consists of three fittings which together suit all metal pipes with an outside diameter of 15mm (3/8") to 34mm (3/4") including the different weights of lead pipe

It may be imperial 3/4 pipe. If so you can get 3/4 olives to enable a 22mm compression fitting to fit.

Thanks for your replies but i have clocked it now , Bassically i used a 22mm isolating valve and some ptfe tape worked a treat now iv got to change the bath pipes 😉. Again thanks guys!
