Hi all,

I'm installing a concrete patio out back. By the wall under the kitchen sink I have an existing P-Trap gully for the grey water from the sink, dishwasher, washing machine etc.

When I pour the concrete there won't be any chance to dig it up anymore. From my own research I get the impression that bottle gullys are better because they are roddable whereas P-Trap aren't. I'm thinking of replacing the P-Trap with a bottle gully.

My thinking is that, in the event something went wrong in future, and considering it would then be concreted in, it would be a good idea to replace the P-trap with the bottle gully before I pour the concrete so that at least it would be roddable.

Can anyone think of any reason why I shouldn't do this?

Thanks for the input.
