Hi all, newbie here from sunny Clitheroe & I need help repressurising my Potterton Promax HE Plus condensing boiler if anyone can show me how.

I've looked at 'how to' guides online & it seemed straightforward. However when I look at the pipework on my boiler, it doesn't seem to match. I've attached a picture of the set-up underneath my boiler.

I've tried opening one tap fully & then opening the other tap gradually til the pressure gauge rises, but it doesn't do anything.

Next I bought a filling loop, but I can't see where to attach it. Looks to me like one end goes on the pipe with the tap on, on the right. But the loop doesn't want to go on & it's too close to the copper pipe next to it, to turn the loop's wing nut. And I can't work out where the other end of the loop goes at all. From looking online, I would expect the tap on the left to also have a blanking end cap nearby, like the one on the right.

Any help greatly appreciated as I'm keen to solve this &learn (oh, and not freeze lol).

Cheers,

Paul.
