Hi

I have a Roca single flush toilet and the cistern has been intermittently being slow to fill up and now this morning it won't fill up at all. I've taken the cistern lid off and it filled up instantly when I did that but then it wouldnt fill up at all after the next flush. Anyone any ideas? :confused5: Thanks

Well it's definately to do with the incoming water, could be a service call by a qualified plumber is needed, have you thought of this??

It could have muck in the pipes/a sticking part in the inlet side of things, would have to see it to diagnose further me thinks...

Thanks for the post. I am going to call a plumber but stuck at work today and I just wondered if it was a quick fix I could do myself.

I don't its muck in the pipes as I wiggled (technical I know) the top part of the left-hand bit (dont know what its called sorry but not the bit with the flush button) and that seemed to let it fill up. I live in a soft water area so don't get limescale here at all.

Could be the internal mechanism fouling so the wiggle could fix it however you need to identify it and adjust the internals - or have them adjusted. Some times a few degrees twist on the inlet or siphon can make all the difference more so now all cisterns seem ultra slim.

it could be the fill valve is loose on its stem water preasure moves it up and the top of the float fouls the lid best to just change the fill valve

Replace your ball valve and job done.:smile5:
Really not worth messing about changing a washer or trying to clean out.

Cheers
JJ
