Came as part of the bathroom suite from B&Q with a soft close loo seat.
Loo seat got broken today but B&Q want £120 for a replacment!! Is there another one out there that will fit and is cheaper?

Is it a funny shape loo? Square'ish or something? Otherwise a loo seat is a loo seat and you can buy decent soft-close ones for less than half that.

I think it is what is called 'D' shaped ?? and you can only get to the hinges from the top. Does this make is more difficult to get a replacement?

I ftted a Rosalind suite for a client a few months ago and I cant say I was very impressed with the quality or design, particularly the way it is installed. The loo has a plastic close coupled cistern which is bolted to the pan and then a ceramic cover which goes over the top and rests on the pan, except it doesn't rest there as the castings aren't straight so it sits on the slant and needs to be wedged up. Trouble then is it moves so you need to put a few dobs of silicon on to hold it.
The basin is wall hung and has a seperate lower pedestal/support thing which wiegh a ton so not easy to get a good fixing on thermolite walls and very fiddly to get everything connected and straight, again the castings are poor so they dont marry up very well. Impossible to get a pop up waste connected so had to use a clicker.

All in all not impressed and will avoid in the future.

I've never fitted an exepensive suite. I wonder what it's like. I'm only used to ones where nothing fits together very well, at least two mechanical components won't work and you have to use a decent measure of ingenuity to stop it all falling to pieces. I'm guessing if you fit a thousand pound suite it's more pleasant.

made in turkey i believe. or was it china?
like i told my client when i finished it, 'looks alright dosnt it, lets hope nothing goes wrong in the future'.

my custard bought a seat for his and i think that was £80 from ebay, try there.
