woke up this morning to daughter screaming the shower wasnt working 🙂. Trot down to the kitchen to the old therma classic and note the pressure gauge has finally dropped to .5bar and the inbuilt filling loop is still jammed shut!!! So 1 coffee later and I remembered why I should never have saved some cash 12 years ago, those little filling valves just shear off for a pastime and when you poke them open its a pig to get the sheared o ring seal back in position to allow you to connect back into the boiler again so you can slap a hose on the doc to repressurise the boiler to have your own shower. Only reason I dont put in a filling loop is the tiler did too good a job when I was away and tiled over all the pipework very tidily and I dont want to break it all out. Still new valve coming fri and all will be ok for a while I hope.
