Contentious issue lol.
I'll likely use them when pushed and when they have offers on. Good to have options though, have plumb center, city plumbing, an independent and now screwfix in the same industrial park. In the retail park across the road there's pee and poo and homebase for those sunday evening nightmare jobs.

I agree about prices but you do get a trade discount on a lot of the stuff if you sign up to plumbfix. As someone else mentioned, I shop mostly between Plumbfix and Toolstation, I sometimes wander over to PTS especially when they had some cracking prices on Stelrad Softlines last year.
I used to shop at a great independant merchants and the guy really knew his stuff but he has closed down now. There's another merchants nearby but I have found out that I have the wrong skin-tone to get the better discounts there, plus they're ignorant sods in there and don't know their arse from their elbows.
If I had a local indie that was anything like the guy who closed down I wouldn't be giving half as much trade to the big boys, except maybe when her with the boobies was on shift at Plumbfix...

But id rather got to screwfix 10 mims away then my local right now.
They stock loads and im getting pacl of 20 end feed elbows for £4.21 not getting them at that price in plumb base pluss there's a little guy works in there i really want to smack on the nose
