Sealed system heating

As a newbie to this forum i thought i should open with a number of questions, I am removing my old heating (storage heaters) and hot water system and installing a new pressurised H/W cylinder and sealed system central heating, the H/W side of things are mostly piped and near finished. still a little to do on the heating side. i just need to have some clarity on 1 or 2 issues.

1. for aesthetic reasons i would like to bring the flow and return up behind the boiler and then back down on the left outside the boiler, I also would need to site the pump beside the boiler as close as i can is there any good reason not to do this? or any considerations i should make?

2. I intend the system to be an S plan, are there any benefits to fitting the pump on the flow, or return? and would this affect the location of the expansion vessel within the pipework?

3. If the pump is situated on the return side of the boiler is it still OK to leave both motorised valves on the flow side of their independent circuits and does this affect where i should install the filling loop for the C/H circuit?

I am hoping to get the pipework finished prior to my plumber doing the final commissioning

The "Commissioning" Plumber would be the best to answer all questions as he/she is the one somehow putting his name to the installation and notifying it.
