hi all, on a one off new build, who would normally design the entire water and central heating system, i suspect that it would be a joint decision between the archetect and the client and that detailed plans would be provided would this be correct, and would the same apply to a completely gutted property, would the local authority not want to see some sort of plans.

realy depends on the size of the building 2up 2 down just get quotes from a few local companies
6 beds 7 bathrooms will need some designs and spec before you get quotes

Hi. Accommodating the building services has often been a compromise from my experience. Forming pipe ducts etc to provide visually pleasing installation is neglected in favor of room size / floor area. Resulting in boxing in and difficult access to pipework/components. Given the opportunity i would certainly investigate the needs with the architect at design level. It may well eliminate disappointing finishes during construction. Good luck
