Hi everyone

We had a new shower installed around 8 years ago. I'm no expert but I'm told it's a "Concentric dual control concealed thermostatic shower valve" with a fixed head.

The shower is supplied from an oil fed Worcester Bosch combi boiler.

The problem is that the temperature control handle doesn't work. The only way to adjust the temperature is by adjusting the flow (reduce the flow = hotter water and vice-versa).

A couple of people have suggested that the hot and cold feeds could be the wrong way round, which I find hard to believe?! Does this sound right as I don't want to start smashing up my bathroom if that's not the problem?!

Any help / advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Adam

If it's worked okay for 8 years then it's probably installed correctly but requires a replacement thermostat cartridge
