Shower swap

So, straight swap if a Bristan shower today. The one where I can't get the cartridge out. ( I've got the old shower to try again in a vice).

Anyway, how many of you disregard the mesh filters & just use fibre/rubber washers?

being honest, I always fit them. but I have seen loads without.

Yeah, I fitted them but the one I took off didn't.
