Hi, have recently decided my old shower had to go , so have ripped most of it out. It is situated in a separate shower room with a external wall at one end and the sides composed of stud walls. The distance (width to opposite side ) of the studding is 770mm, the old plaster board on the studding has been removed. I intend to replace the plaster board with Jackoboard with a nominal thickness of 12mm so that would bring the gap to 770-24 = 746mm.
The most suitable tray width is 760 mm, which means I would have to on the stud wall sides put the Jackoboard on top of the tray rather than flow past it onto the floor. So by my calculation the Jackoboard would would sit on the tray by 7mm each side. So my question is this an o/k solution or a no-no?
