Shower valve

Evening
Any advice on connecting this valve? Before I cut away the plasterboard I thought it would be a simple matter of replacing a 90º elbow but it turns out the old valve was t'eed off.

Wrong valve. Its a built in, you want a surface mounted with that set up. Might not have the depth to start carving up the stud.

I am aware it is a recessed valve and there is plenty of room to install it. Was looking for a ideas how to connect it.

Crack on then. Hot to hot and cold to cold.

Your gonna have to cut away the post above and below the shower . Then put deans a cross to strengthen. Then you have to build a little frame to screw the body of shower to- --- while doing this the elbows should simply spin so there facing up towards the pipe . Then you have to put an outlet pipe in. This has to be accurate spacing In order for the outlet to sit snug against the finished wall. This MUST BE DONE WITH NO LEAKS. Do that and you've did really well . Must be precise and perfect . Thx for your help kris. The stud work I can sort out no problem as I was going to build a box for the valve to sit in with it then fixed to the cut away studs. The problem I'm trying to think through is how to connect feed pipes to the valve as the old exposed valve was teed off the feeds which continue up to the 2nd floor. The outlet won't be an issue either as I have thought that through.

It seems they are tees at the bottom, not elbows(as someone thought), so you would need to chop out some more board and re-route the pipes a little, that's if I'm understanding the issue.
Something like this:

If the new shower valve can be fitted in another position, to the right for example, then it's an easy job to route each pipe across. Although you may need to move & change the original tees & to a different height.
Why on earth did you not simply fit a surface mounted shower valve? Easy to work at or replace in the future also.

I agree with best 100% , what your attempting can be done easy enough if youve experience and im not saying you cant as you probably can but the way the pipes are sitting there all ready for an exposed valve. a 5 minute job instead of a days job lol

Thanks for your replies. Yes exposed valve would have been a quick easy diy job. But the shower head is now moving 90 º to the wall on the left. So have created a lot more work for myself!
