shower water temp issues

Hi

I have a mira excel exposed valve shower and am having issues with the temperature. The gauge doesnt seem to adjust it and i have attempted to increase the max temp by removing the handle but it was already at the max. I have since removed the cartridge as i was going to attempt to clean to see if that resolves and whilst the cartridge was out i tested the incoming water supply and can feel hot water coming in but it is dominated by the cold water which i guess is why i only get warm water when showering?

another thing to note is that the single temperature i get out the shower fluctuates depending on time of year ie its luke warm during winter months but quite hot during summer months

any advice would be appreciated

Do you have a combi boiler or a cylinder that feeds the hot water. Any other hot water outlets suffer the same problem?

i have a combi boiler. other outlets fine including the sink a few feet away from the shower

Does the combi pressure valve fluctuate when the showers on?

I had the same issue, was the boiler heat exchange plate.

No, not that i have noticed. Remains at 1 bar
